Sorry, Golden. I am going to disagree with you about lighting it. I have the identical water heater and you're instructions were good with one exception...the blue valve knob is spring loaded. You don't push it in, you just turn it all the way. When you're lit and held for the 30-60 seconds, just let go of it. It will spring back about 1/8 turn and remain lit. It will then need to be turned to the "on" position and left there to function correctly.
