We had huge electrical and brake issues with our 2012 F150-all covered under warranty but still a PITA. Just traded it in on a 2017 F150-just don't like the GM models which stinks because hubby gets the GM vendor discount. I'll have to look to see what the dipstick situation is because now I'm curious. Love the 2017-lots of new features. Also like the fact the grill is no longer a part of the hood.
To the OP: I suspect it's not that fact that it's a Ford that's the issue. It's the fact that it's "failed" you.
