I guess I'm old school. I like haveing the ability to look at the fluid to see the color and to check for that "burnt smell" especially on a tow vehicle.
Don't forget it also works as a parts cleaner and hand cleaner. ATF the mystery fluid.
And a floor stainer and fuel injector cleaner for diesels!
x2 on additive to diesel fuel as a fuel injector cleaner (non-synthetic ATF).
I haven't tried it as a floor stainer yet (and don't plan to) ... :D
ATF is NOT a good additive to diesel fuel, that would be 2 cycle oil!
2cycle for lubricity. ATF for cleaning.
Jury is out on it, but I've seen it work and work well.
