That trailer is going to GVWR at something north of 7,000#. Your tongue weight will be well over 900# including the WD hitch. You will be out of payload long before you get anywhere near the so-called 7,200# of towing capacity.
IGNORE all so-called "dry weights" as they are worse than worthless and potentially dangerous. Towing a 32'+ trailer with your half ton pick up will not be much fun but if you stay close to home and on the flat, it can be done. Keep in mind that just because you "can" do something does not mean it is a good idea.
As always... Opinions and YMMV.
True that. however if its only me in the truck there should be over 1300 lbs of available payload. My current TT had a listed tongue weight of 525 and it only got to about 610 with propane tank battery and front pass through gear.
Something doesn't sound right, a battery is 80 pounds, so that gets you to 605. So what you are saying that all the rest of the stuff you put in only weighs 5 pounds. Maybe I misunderstood. Seems a little lite to me. I could be wrong.
80lbs? my tractor battery doesn't weigh that much. my TT battery weighed about 36 lbs when I weighed it. My propane tank weighs 40 lbs full. I only have fishing poles, some tarps and a toolbox in my front passthrough.
