One way to avert any future issues with flooring is to never buy one with SIP as the design.
Have you decided what you're going to use for adhesive and how you're going to make sure you have good contact between the new floor sheathing and the foam?
Sorry: I just re-read this post, and saw the question.
I talked to a service guy at the RV place near my home. He said to use water-based contact cement to adhere the 1/4" plywood to the foam insulation.
I am going to do a test patch with bondo to act as a filler ( kind of like a skim coat when laying vinyl flooring) for the big holes. I am also going to add 1/2" plywood on top. I was concerned about the weight of the 1/2" plywood being transferred to the 1/4" plywood but enough of the aluminum frame along the perimeter is protruding out the catch some of the 1/2" plywood. I will be sliding the 1/4" plywood into the gap under the bottom plate of the wall and the perimeter tracking.
I forgot to add the inner layer on the perimeter wall, but you get the gist of what my plan is. I am pondering using either a piece of foam insulation to replace a small section of it, or by injecting high expansion foam insulation into the cavity once I lay the 1/4" plywood down. Any comments on this?
