Have a 2014 Grey Wolf 26 DBH TT with what looks like a mushroom shape antenna that I believe is affixed to the roof. Have a ton of trouble getting any channels (north of the Kansas City area) or anywhere for that matter. I did not see a spot where you can raise it (crank up) which is reason believe is affixed to roof. Running auto scan may pull up 2-3 channels which appear all digital/scrambled effect. any thoughts?? I had the same antenna and could not receive many stations. Installed a Winegard and the reception improved by 50%.Ed

We have a signal booster button inside a cabinet that has to be pushed in order to receive any channels. Maybe that is the case.

Do you have an antenna booster? is it on?

Look for an antenna wall plate that looks like this...There is a BLACK PUSH BUTTON on it that needs to be pressed and a small led green light should come on. This will provide 12VDC to the booster amplifier that is up inside the antenna...You also should goto the menu of your HDTV monitor and select "ANTENNA" instead of "CABLE". Then you will have to point the antenna towards the town that is transmitting the NATL BROADCAST digital TV SIGNALS and scan them into the HDTV monitor just like you do at home.You will have to do these routines everytime you stop at a new camp site.NOTE: These are the general instructions for using the BATWING and JACK HDTV antennas. If you can't raise/lower or rotate, it sounds like you have the absolute worst possible antenna for an RV - fixed position omnidirectional. Replace it with a batwing or jack on a stalk.

Name of RV antenna manufactured by King Controls. Generally gets rave reviews for reception, though some guy from the west coast commented in another antenna thread the other day that they are no good. Might have something to do with the terrain out west. Anyway I see a number of them on RV's in Florida; that must mean something.

If you want to buy one, check online or Amazon. Lots of places sell them on the Web. Do not buy one from CW, one can be bought from many places for less.

Test your system by taking a plain old rabbit ears antenna and see what you get. Granted I'm usually only an hour north of the big city but I'll bet a coat hanger will get more channels than that mushroom.

Check out,KC Home Trailer 1515 Merrium Lane. You'll probably miss it the first time, it's in front of the drive in theater. Brick building kind of a faded yellow.

the 'booster' as they call it (haha) is pushed and the green light is on,,,and my hook up plate you looks just like the one you are showing. The shape of the antenna looks like a mushroom (not brand name) and I do not think it can be pointed, moved, raised or turned. It does sound like I have a fixed position omnidirectional. Guess I will have to upgrade,, any suggestions on where to purchase>

I had the same useless Jensen antenna on my Grey wolf. First thing I did was remove and replace all the coax ends throughout the entire trailer. Then I replaced the useless (just in case I didnt make that clear) Jensen antenna that was installed right next to my air conditioner so that it block half the potential signal with a jack antenna. Worked like a charm.

I have the same style. You need to make sure as said before that the antennae booster is on. My wall switch has either air or cable selections. Select air. Also you need to make sure you go into the tv's menu and select 'scan' for new channels. You won't get diddle if you don't ask the tv to 'scan' for channels. If stations are available I will get them after doing all that.
