If your anti-sway is broken, remove it and slow down on your tow to avoid sway, until you can get it replaced.
I'm a believer in WDH and anti-sway, though some try to convince others to skip them.
As mentioned, they aren't expensive, and if they only save your bacon ONCE, they've paid for themselves!
For us, we are going to add the inexpensive anti-sway bar to our WDH on our new to us camper. The additional stability is really helpful, especially on longer trips. I'd much rather enjoy the drive with my family than be on high alert for every little micro movement ;)
Might be a good idea to check and make sure you didn't exceed the extension limit of the bar, as also mentioned above. That was some good advice, too :C
