Antifreeze
Hi to all. we are full time in a campground. Can antifreeze or something else be put in the holding tanks to keep them from freezing? Thanks God Bless.

IF you properly drain all the tanks and pump anti-freeze into the lines via the external suction hose on the pump, there shouldn't be more than a few ounces left.......if any.
Read his post. He is going to USE the black tank, and empty it every few days. He is NOT going to just put antifreeze in it, and leave it. IF you empty it, and leave it empty, you need no antifreeze anyway. But if you put some in the black tank, and then put fluids in with it, and just take out 5 gal every few days. It WILL get diluted, and freeze, and while RV antifreeze does NOT expand when it freezes, it will not flow.

Sorry forgot to change my profile. We at in north Jersey. We will stay through the winter. We will have no water except buckets for the toilet. I thought every few day empty into a five gallon pail and take to the dump station. I figured antifreeze will keep the tanks from freezing. Thank to all for yet info.
