- anaroExplorerYup. First mod we did. DH had no issues installing them. We now leave our vents open all the time unless on the road.
- LeBoutExplorerGot it installed tonight. I was little concerned with amount of caulk around the edges of the vent frame, but it didn't end up being a problem.

These things REALLY go on easy!

I cover my TT while in storage with an ADCO cover. It gets full sun during most of the day. Would it be a good idea to install one of these and leave the vent open while stored to dissipate heat?

It just attaches to the sides of the vent so you shouldn't need to caulk anything.
I had a TT that some previous owner idiot screwed and sealed them to the roof. During a driving rain it filled the inside up until it overflowed the edges of the vent and drenched the ceiling.
I've seen a high end fifth wheel done the same way, but not totally sealed to the roof. 2" screws. :S - the_happiestcamExplorer

I leave my vents open all year cuz of these. They are great.
X2. Though on Sunday, I pulled the trailer from the back to the side yard using my electric dolly, so I could get a level position. I had gotten a new hitch on my TV, so I had to re-adjust everything. Got everything dialed in using the manufacturer's directions, then pushed the trailer back to it's normal resting place. Monday afternoon when I got home from work, I went and hooked my solar panels back up. When I went inside the camper (which I didn't do on Sunday), during the move the bathroom door had closed, so the vent was doing me no good. Opened the door back up and it was better in no time.
I also leave it open while travelling - love the Maxx Air! The door won't close during travel as there are fold up bikes on the floor keeping it open. - rbrummExplorerI just did 2 Maxxair II 's yesterday on mine. I am going to love being able to sleep with the vents open and not worry about rain.

- 20anOutExplorerLast week I installed two of the MaxxAirs in 30 minutes and then a MaxxAir Fan Cover over my Fantastic fan in 20 minutes. I followed the videos, it was very easy.
