I had that gear-hunting problem towing a 7X14 box trailer behind a Dodge Ram 1500, with the 360 CID V8, auto transmission.
I sold the truck, and got the one in my sig. No more towing problems. I can hook that same trailer, with two Kawasaki Brute Force 750 ATVs aboard, to the Cummins powered truck, and climb any grade in fourth gear, maybe even fifth.
The driving experience is SOOOO much nicer!
