Any experience with new gas engines hauling heavy??

So my dad right now is completely fed up with his 2014 ram cummins dually. He has spent over 10K in the last year on it. That being said, I told him he might want to look at the new gas trucks. ...

A neighbor just bought a Coachman class A that's powered by a Ford V-10, and weighs 26,000. He said he drove 70 MPH to the house.
Don't know if this helps, but there are lots of class A's out there with Chevy and Ford gas engines that are doing pretty well.
