Yes, sounds like he should get a gasser. They're easier on tires and transmissions because they only have half the power! Lol
I've found that, in life, if you expect pretty much anything to just "work" indefininatley without understanding how/what/when things happen, you're setting yourself up for disappointment.
Not sayin he didn't have a lemon, but odds are he didn't have a lemon.
Not enough info, just a general, seemingly ignorant description of the issues.
No mention of warranty or no warranty. No story about the situation and what lead to the $10k repairs. Nada.
Actually, maybe he should take a bus. Then don't have to worry about the performance or cost implications of a breakdown.
On a more serious note, yes, in general, gassers are more idiot proof....but they do have the same tires!
