Any experience with new gas engines hauling heavy??

So my dad right now is completely fed up with his 2014 ram cummins dually. He has spent over 10K in the last year on it. That being said, I told him he might want to look at the new gas trucks. ...

I'll agree the 8.1L was a good engine - as long as you didn't mind it's appetite for engine oil.

However, at peak, it only made 340hp. GM's 5.3L has more than that these days at 355hp, and so did the 2003 5.7L Hemi at 345hp (that's 15 years ago).

Today's HD gas engines have much more HP and are more efficient.
