Any found a Walmart do not camp list?

I notice a lot of people say they stay at Walmart when traveling but has anyone found a good list of do not stay at this Walmart location?

Wasn't too hard to find one - I just highlighted your subj line into google and came up with this no park list.

    NO PARK WALMARTS

OOPS I just re-read your other comment... Sorry bout that chief... Thats the beautify of being free... If you don't like what is going on around you fire it up and move on... Have done that a couple of times myself...

  • Walmart has a comprehensive book available that shows address etc and whether parking is allowed or not. They 'know' what their local municipality laws are regarding parking are reflect that in the book.

AND FYI there ARE many Walmart's that the Walmart 'themselves' prohibit the parking irregardless of local statutes.
  • I suggest the free app we use called RVParky.

Not only is it quick to search current location or a searched (address, city) location, you can pinch and squeeze quickly to almost any new location.

The legend shows types of overnighting (state parks, RV parks, Walmarts, Cabelas, casinos, etc.), it it has a "do not" red slash circle through any that don't offer overnighting authorization.

Granted, it may not always be up to date, as it is user updated, and app provider general verified, as are the ratings. But it is extremely functional.

Links offer reviews to other internet reviews if the app doesn't have adequate reviews of a place. When we go to "other reviews online" we generally choose rvparkreviews.com

It's a great app (RVParky) and again, generally shows the "sleeping moon" icon with a red slash circle (Do Not Do) over it. For an example, load it up and look at the LA basin Walmarts for the Do Not Use symbols.
  • As far as I know, Wal-Mart COMPANY has an "open door" policy when it comes to overnite RV stays. When you are not allowed to stay overnite is caused by the local gov't (township) policy. And then, there are signs.
  • How about the list maintained by Walmart. As soon as someone posts about a Walmart that doesn't allow overnight, I've checked the list and it's been listed. So evidently they keep the list pretty up-to-date.

    No Park Walmarts

In regards to which ones you shouldn't park at, that is a matter of personal opinion and you will not find one. However, just look around and if you see a lot of trash, broken glass, or graffiti I would move on. Usually, because of all the security cameras, Walmart parking lots are pretty safe.
  • Not looking for a list of Walmart's you are not allowed to park at but more of a list a Walmart's you would not or should not park at and maybe the reason why.
  • The Discovery Owners Group maintains a list of points of interest that can be downloaded into various mapping programs.

They have files for No Overnight RV Parking at Walmart in the
    US and Canada.

You can choose a "text file" format after selecting list by "alphabetical order".
