Started with tent campers with my folks back in the mid-60's. It was a rented unit - no stove, no furnace, no refrig, no toilet/shower, no interior lighting, I don't even think we had a sink. On our first trip we were halfway to VA when we discovered two missing lug nuts on one wheel (and the remaining two were loose.......). Moral of the story - don't assume the dealer has done a thorough job.
"Hitching equipment" consisted of a clamp-on bumper hitch.
