There is a husband/wife team that rents TTs from their house just 3 miles away or so. They have acquired their 5th trailer, all of them bought used in pretty nice condition. The wife runs the rental business, and her husband runs a one man mobile repair business. This works for them, because she runs the business, and he keeps the trailers in nice shape.
But to make this work, she has commercial insurance that covers damage. And they don't have an emotional attachment to the trailers because it is their business, not their personal trailer. They have their own personal trailer that does not get rented out.
As others have said, there is no way my trailer is leaving here being towed by someone else. It's our personal trailer, we love it, and we want to keep it for as long as possible.
