With a PUP you still maintain decent gas mileage, ease of maneuvering, a tent like camping feel and less up keep. With a hybrid you have the convenience of easy setup, appliances, better weather protection.
However, most hybrids are the size of a TT and so you have; the 10 mpg, the campground space limitations, a WD hitch and a vehicle with a towing package to contend with.
I kept my PUP when I bought my TT, each has its own advantages. Camping in a field fishing with the grandkids and touring for weeks at a time with the DW are two different adventures.
