I do have a "thing" for the Trailmanors, I love they way they look and the layout, but Ive never been in one. So, I don't know if I would feel as claustrophobic as in TT with less than half the window sizes that the pup offers.
We went from a 14ft highwall PUP to a the smallest Trailmanor - 2417, which is probably equivalent to a 12 ft PUP, or a bit less.
We have never felt claustrophobic. We have 4 windows on each long side, and one at the king sized bunk end. We did not want one of the smaller bunk end. What we do have is a much easier to set up and much more comfortable rig. And, it feels so solid! We were in Utah last spring - which turns out to be a very windy time to go. We really noticed a difference over the more traditional PUP. On the down side - it is more expensive.
This is our empty nester trailer. We still love PUPs, but we no longer have kids along - or rarely, and then only our youngest, who is about to graduate from college.
I have already planned our setup for when my husband retires - a simple class B (possibly a custom job from Sportsmobile) for tootling around during the day, but still have some comforts, and a larger Trailmanor.
