Other than in CA and your home state of TX, there are no checks on private rigs for weight. In the event of an accident, axle weights are the only thing that comes into play in checking for an overweight situation being the cause. Unfortunately, even this is ambiguous as the rear axles are identical between the F250 and SRW F350 but rated differently on paper to satisfy two separate market segments. Trying to figure out how a worse case scenario will be played out is something that excites forums but in reality is about as exciting as watching paint dry in the real world.
