Anybody here ever heard of PopUpParts.com?

I'm trying to get a replacement crank for the pop-up mechanism on an old Palomino Bronco TC that I just picked up.

It's a HECO Glide-In crank, like this:
http://www.popupparts.com/?main_page=index&cPath=4_6

Thing is, the site doesn't have a phone contact, facebook page hasn't been updated in a few years, and the twitter site is all in Russian.

Needless to say I'm a bit wary of ordering something with a credit card

Has anyone here ever used them before?
Or have another source for the replacement crank?

Any advice is much appreciated!

  • Thanks for the advice guys

I couldn't get on to the forum yesterday for some reason so I ended up going with CanvasReplacements.com

They've been around since the 50s, from Wisconsin, and seem legit

Ordered a spare because I've read that these lift cranks get stripped pretty easy
Hoping to make a better/burlier one eventually

Worth the extra few dollars for piece of mind.

That's where I got one, too.
