I'm pulling my 29' Sunline that is around 8,000 lbs. loaded and my 2007 5.7 Tundra does pretty well. I'm not so sure I want to take it across the Rockies but it could probably manage it. That's why I'm looking for a new trailer that will weigh in at least 1500 lbs. lighter before we head out west. Obviously, you need a good weight distribution hitch with anti-sway. I use the Tow Haul mode on the Tundra and avoid cruise control. I like the fact that the Tundra has a transmission temperature gauge.
