My 6.0 gasser does will pulling close to 10K. I haven't pulled the mountains yet, but don't expect any issues.
I simply couldn't afford a $10K repair bill for a vehicle, one of the reasons I have a gas TV.
And it's super easy to work on!
The company I work for has a deep contract with Ford but they are no longer getting the diesel in our 450-550 bucket trucks. They are all coming with the V-10. Other than the ridiculous mileage they're doing great. These trucks are somewhere around 14K lbs also, but I'm sure they are geared way way low.
