I had a Ford truck with a bad motor once also. Bought it new in 1979 traded it off in 82. Didn't own another Ford for 21 years. I have owned nothing but Fords since 2003 because I like the product and have had no failures of virtually anything across 5 different vehicles since then. I would say there is more to my purchasing decision than marketing
