- love2rvcampExplorerAny trailer specifically? Reason asking if you are looking at older ones I would search on the model to see what people say. I know the Coleman Caravans you should run away from. Speaking from experience.
- 2012ColemanExplorer III can certanily chime in here. My 2012 coleman is curently at camping world getting the roof repaired - the rubber membrane is seperating from the roof. Some screws on the outside of the slideout are actually breaking and working their way out. look at how the bathroom vanity is installed - mine has a big hole cut in the side by the tub to fit over some pipes. The shower curtain snags on the rough edge. On our first trip, the AC blew up - on the first night. Fixed under warranty, but the cause was the wires were jammed into it during construction and it shorted. We had to go home - August in Florida... Caulking at the top front corners has failed and allows the siding to be pushed in. I have to slam the entrance door to make it catch - sometimes that isn't enough. Came home from a recent trip only to find the only thing holding the door closed was the hand rail. I could go on.
Spoke to Dutchman customer service - won't be getting any help there. Spoke to the parent company - THOR, who referred me back to Dutchman. going to try again after I find out how much the roof is going to cost me.
I won't buy this brand again. - chasmatt45ExplorerWe just bought one. The 274BH model. It is made by Dutchman who has licensed the name Coleman. The price was right. The construction seems to be about the same as any of the other brands we looked at. Our local dealer (not Camping World) had a special buy on this model. We are pleased so far.
- 87bobExplorerAccording to a salesperson at Camping World they bought the naming rights to use the Coleman name.
