Just curious, do you run the exhaust fan when cooking? With a flame going you have several things going on; 1)You are in a confined space, 2)the fire itself is using the oxygen 3)The by-product of fire is CO2 (and other products)
You may want to check with a local gas company and see if they will test the air while the stove is on. If not, a local fire dept will do it. They love the opportunity to play with their toys. CO2 CAN make you feel ill at certain levels. It can also kill.
