How can you smell the hot water heater? Its not in the RV and vents out the back. Do you smell the camper parked 20 feet away. Same way with the gas heater it does not vent into the camper. To me a electric heater has more smell then gas does. Sorry you have this problem but sometimes just knowing you have a gas hot water you think your smelling it. Have your local fir house check it out. they would love to use there equipment
