Expectations of towing is so much different with people today. I towed over 2500 lb with less than 60 hp, over 1500 lbs with 90 hp and over 3500 lbs with less than 125 hp without driver anxiety or vehicle failures. I could keep highway speeds on flats and was faster than semi-trucks in the mountains, so life was good. Now it seems like people want to do the speed limit+ on any grade and still have reserve to go faster if they want to pass someone - They live their lives in a hurry and vacation the same way...
