Just curious really. I thought the inline 6 layout would raise a few eyebrows. I expect the power specs to be inline (see what I did there?) with the ED and the Baby Powerstroke... but with it be...

I think it is fine line to walk. Give the engine too much power and you what Nissan came to town with. Good power, but requires 3/4 running gear which creates more weight, and reduces capacity and gives poor mpg. They have to be priced right of course. MPG I think is a major buying point in this segment. So it has to be able to pull what other half tons can pull, but put too much power into it and that is not good either. It is an interesting dance.
