I would like to compare the Ford and GM trans ratio's in their 3.0 diesel trucks and see what the differences are.

Maybe, it depends on whether the engine is designed similarly to a Cummins B series. However, an engine like BMW's 3.0 inline six is a revver, producing max power at 4,000 rpm. We'll see.
