I'm not really sure what exactly defines "ultra-lite". I think it's more of a marketing ploy to suck people into thinking their TV can handle the weight.
As someone stated above, there is no Industry standard for Ultra Lights. Some RV Dealers/Manufacturers call a 7,000 pound, 28 foot trailer Ultra Lights when the lightest in those lengths are around 5,000ish pounds. So go figure.
I am chastised all the time on the Chevy forum when I tell the Macho guys they can't in reality tow what Chevrolet says their 1/2ton Silverado can tow (9,600 pounds) because of payload. A term most are not familiar with. I always reccommend a trailer at a weight of between 5,000 and 7,000 pounds.
