I had a Hemi in a 2005 Grand Cherokee. Kept it for 3 or 4 years, used to tow my boat. No problems with it.
If I remember correctly, a tune up was around $400, which included spark plug change. That is recommended every 30,000 miles (which seems too often, but I guess the engineers know what it needs).
My brother has a 2005 or 2006 Durango with 280,000 miles on it. He plans to keep it to 350,000 plus.
