Anyone Own a 2013 3500 HD Dually RAM?

I have a 2013 3500 HD Crew Cab Dually with the HO Cummins and AISIN transmission.

I have got almost 15K miles on it and am experiencing a hard downshift into first when coming to a stop. Didn't feel that when I first got the truck.

Anyone else?
  • I have heard it needs FLASHED!-get hold of your dealer-whsk
  • I've got a little over 8,000 miles on mine and have no issues with shifting, or anything else for that matter...BUT, due to late availability of the truck and even later availability of the picture frame adapter, I cancelled quite a few camping trips this year and have not towed with mine yet:R BUT, will be towing with it next week from my camp in WV through the mountains back to our home in NC....guess we'll see what we see, going to be towing though quite a few mountain ranges, including some very steep, curvy secondary roads, 5er loaded to 16,050#....Will give a report on how it towed when we get back Saturday after next.....love the truck.....
  • Same truck but I have the 68RFE with 5500 miles and no problems no far although I'm not a big fan of the way it shifts

LOL, Mission Viejo driving conditions or IE stop and go traffic. If you don't work any diesel truck your going to have problems. OBTW I don't miss Orange County buddy.
All kidding aside get a flash and start driving ( pulling ) it more. Those hour rides of 10 MPH are killing you :W
  • Newer vehicles tend to keep memory for shifting patterns, especially these newer transmissions with the learning algorithms. I've never heard of the Aisin having issues though, so this is a first for me. It's typically the 68RFE and it's stock slushy shifting that needs addressing.
  • You can disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes, re-hook it up...the ECM will reset and the transmission will go back to factory settings. My F250 PSD did that a few times.
  • I believe there is a software fix for this problem. Read this Link for additional information.

    Good luck... Fish :B
