Anyone running Cooper Roadmaster 19.5's?

Looking at the Cooper Roadmaster RM253 in 14-ply/G load rating. Just wondering if anyone is running them and how they compared to the original tires for sidewall flex/TC sway.

They also have the same tire in a 12-ply/F load rating, but I'm looking mainly at the G. 90psi vs 110psi, 3640lbs vs. 3970lbs.

I'm looking at these for the all-terrain tread, and of course, cost is a factor. A set of 6 locally runs ~$1800 m/b/tx.
  • Have not tried those. But bought a a set of Gladiator steer tires for my Kodiak. Second season on them. So far I'm happy with them, better ride and wear out them. Had Goodyear and TOYO's and both were sorry. Or for my use they were. Will be buying all new Gladiators when the time comes..
If you want me to, will get pics showing how there holding up.

  • Howdy!

A few years ago I tried Cooper's 19.5 on my MDT 5500 Chey. After having them balanced four separate times determined they were out of round. I made the tire dealership take them off and put Toyo's on never have a problem with them.

  • I have been using the them for about 6 months, so far so good.
    Have 245/19.5 H version 4900 lbs
I was using 16" wheels so can't compare them on flex or sway.
Paid about $1100 for 4 with my own rims.
They slap a little for the first couple miles.
I run 70psi in them unloaded.
  • I haven't heard/seen much about the Coopers.

I'm running the Hankook DH-01s in 225 that are extremely aggressive but Fs. They have a new tire which is DH-07s which is similar to the Cooper tread pattern. I ran the DH-01 245s on my SRW previously.

You might also look at 8R 19.5s which aren't wider but taller. I don't know what tires are made in that size, but are about 1 inch taller with slightly less capacity.
