I hate to be negative about any vehicle and try not to be a nay sayer.
I (Wife) owned a GC for 4 years and had a lot of problems. Now this was a while ago and the new ones might be the tops, IDK.
I (we) have owned probably close to 20 vehicles, 3 VW's, 3 Audis, 3 Fords, 1 Dodge, 3 Nissans, 1 Chevy, 2 Acuras, 1 Honda, 1 BMW...
We have had great luck with almost all of our WELL MAINTAINED vehicles.
HONESTLY, the GC was by far the worst. It left us hangin several times. Water pump(s), front drive shaft all sorts of expensive stuff. We literally traded it in parked (dead) at the local mini mart with electrical problems (short) with under a 100k miles for a Nissan Pathfinder. Pathfinder (2 owned) was the best SUV we owned during our raising kids era, solid. I have nothing negative to say about any of the other vehicles listed, all great. Wife still drives an Audi TT QR, me a an old 7.3 Superduty.
Sorry if I sound Negative, just real world experience.
Family members including my parents owned 3 GC and my wife's boss owned one as well. These vehicles were the worst for reliability and my wife was always taking her boss to pick up her GC from the shop. She was soooo happy when she dumped the GC and purchased a Nissan Murano.
Having said that they are some of the best looking Sport Utes on the street right now (excluding the Cherokee)and I like that they're rear wheel drive, but again they will have to be proven reliable before we would purchase one, and right now they got a ways to go.
