'17 F150 S-Cab 4x4 Max tow 4x4
Towing '14 Laredo 274RB. 7800 lbs GVWR
I weighed it once on last truck. was 7300 lbs camp ready with 950 lbs tongue weight.
I have only towed about 50 miles so far. Didn't bother to check the mileage. Truck gets about 18 as a daily driver.
My first impressions towing are that it has a surprising amount of power, but I have been unable to get the it to handle the trailer as I would like. It feels "loose" with the camper hooked, with a Reese dual cam hitch. My previous tow vehicle was a '14 Silverado 1500 max tow, which felt more planted at road speeds. I have a set of Timbren SES ordered and will install prior to an outing this weekend. Hopefully they tighten it up. I think the Ford is sprung softer the the Chevy was, and this may be causing the bad tow experience.
I will set the trip and see what it gets for mileage this weekend.
