Anyone use a CARCHET TPMS

I'm looking at it because it has a continuous display of 4 tire pressures. The truck has it's own but I need something better for the 5ver. I have the TST system and am rather unhappy with it. We had a blowout last summer and knew nother about it until someone flagged us down. Result ruined rim: $120; Goodyear Marathon tire replacement: $170; Side panel on 5ver: $200. Close to $600 and one very unhappy TST customer.

Charchet TPMS

Price is low on this but it has a number of 4 and 5 star reviews.
  • Yes, I have a set that I put on my Jeep Wrangler when I tow it with my RV. I like the continuous readout with the little dongle that plugs into the 12v outlet on the RV. Probably the best $100 I ever spent.
  • If you didn't know it happened, either the system is broken or out of range and mebbe you didn't notice? A blowout should have been an almost immediate alert yet you saw nothing
  • I have this unit and it works great on the TV and TH. It is build for semi's. It is available under another name at Camping World, but the same unit as the one in the URL.
  • It says the range max is 28 feet and total loss of signal at 33 feet. I had to put a repeater on my TST system and it was only about 24 feet away.
  • I asked the same question a while ago and did not get much of a response. If you get it let me know how it works out for you.
  • Just wondering what the range is on these. Will they work on the tires for a fifth wheel or do they only work for the car wheels close by?
