Anyone using Ford Pro Backup

I have 2017 F150 Ford Lariat and purchased a TT about a month ago and want to set up the Pro Backup system. The problem is that the LP tanks cover prevents putting the sticker in a position needed, anyone encountered this if so how did you solve?
  • I have it but have never taken the time to set it up. Been towing RV's long enough that backing up is instinctive to me.
  • oh, so thats what those are for. Saw them in the OM case. I can see the value of it, but not the need since I have backed trailers 53' long with just one mirror, but for my wife I can see it as being very helpful since she can't back a trailer let alone her car! :) sorry hunny, luv ya :)

have it on my 16 f150 xlt because it was in the truck. didn't want it, don't use it, don't plan to start. Don't think I even have any probes. Backing up isn't hard when you are accustomed to it. why relearn something I manage just fine now.

    Like I posted above:

It works well enough, but I find it easier to back my TT with the tow mirrors. (I absolutely LOVE the Pro Trailer Backup Assist with my 6' utility trailer though. I couldn't back that without it. I can't even SEE the utility trailer from the driver's seat.)
  • Here is the photo of my sticker. Like I said, it works well enough.

  • I did. I mounted it vertically on the curb side of the propane cover on my Airstream. I don't have a photo of it, but can take one tomorrow if you like. • The problem is the LP cover is too close to the ball and not enough clean frame space to mount the sticker. If I removed the LP cover it would work but not an acceptable solution.
  • What type of hitch do you have? I have a 2016 F150 with a Hideout 25RKS trailer. I use a Equalizer hitch which places the ball about a foot (can't measure because its not hee at the house right now) behind my bumper. With this set up there is just enough distance from the backup camera to place the sticker on the frame. If the ball was any closer to the truck, I don't think I could set it up with the propane cover in place. I'm wondering if your hitch system brings everything too close to your vehicle.
