Ford has been right on with their gas engines, other than a few glitches with the early Eco turbo. I don't see them screwing up a simple design, such as the 7.3, but I think the power of the 6.2/4.30 gears, with 10 speed would be a safer bet, and not far behind actual capability of the 7.3.
