Camaro beats mustang sales so lets talk about that. We talked about cobalts for quite some time.
One of these months very soon, one of the those Camaro sold numbers will be me. 2015 2SS 1LE in CRT.
Congrats! - fla-gypsyExplorerRamblings of a gypsy;
Ford has outsold the GM twins every year since 2009. That is not going to change anytime soon. Ford is producing a good diesel engine (other than the one that Ric blew up) and Chevrolet will, in the not to distant future, lose the number 2 spot to Ram. I don't eat fast food burgers regardless of price or sales numbers, and I don't buy my truck based on price (alone) or sales numbers. I have never had to pay to repair my 3 SuperDuty's under warranty, heck I have never made a repair to any of the 3 SuperDuty's I have owned. Any money spent on SuperDuty maintenance was strictly that, maintenance items. I know my gasoline powered SuperDuty is much cheaper to maintain than a diesel version and cost $7k less upfront and fuel is $.60 a gallon cheaper in Florida making it far more economical and it has one of the premier gas engines available. Let's see if their is anything else I can add to start an argument? Of all the trucks I have owned (77Dodge 150, 79Ford 100, 80Chevy C10, 84Dodge RC 150 90GMC 3500, 03SuperDuty F250, 05SuperDuty F250, 09SuperDuty F250) only the SuperDuty's have been worry free. The rest were pretty much trash in comparison including the 79 F-100 but that's a story for another day. - MARK_VANDERBENTExplorerLike how you decide that GM trucks will always be second to ford, when going back last 15 years they have lead the lead back and fourth. But I don't care if they are second, third , or 10th my chevys have some serious high miles, and are very trouble free. To each their own right?

Quite the contrary, I have no expectation that Ford will always outsell the twins. In fact if Ram keeps pushing forward they may take the top spot. I just think these trends last for several years at a time and neither will catch Ford in the next couple of years. The longer Ford waits to do a complete remake of the SuperDuty the more the chance increases. They regularly do the F-150 design change but have only made body and system upgrades to the SuperDuty. I trust they are working on something big for SD. I am so pleased with my current one it may the last one I own though - bmet2000ExplorerSo what are the diesel sales numbers? Or do they not divide them out that way?
- MARK_VANDERBENTExplorerI love Chevys and GMC trucks, but admit that Ram is a very nice truck. Ford f150s just don't do it for me. Not crazy about the looks. They are good trucks, just at this time would stick with the GM small block V8 that does everything I ask and with over 200,000 on the clock. I buy used trucks and pay cash. Do not want car payment, so a new truck of any manufacturer will not happen. Congrats again to the three best trucks in the world!! Ford, chevy/gmc, and dodge!!

I am still surprised that ford sells so many truck after so many very poor trucks were built with 2 diesel engines that were not very good but good for them.

From your link "iSeeCars.com decided to see which cars are standing the test of time by doing an analysis of 30 million cars for sale on iSeeCars.com." This doesn't mean a thing, other then the Ford SD trucks are being sold.
Don - Majja13ExplorerI have always been one to keep my trucks a while. I gave had a 69,79 and 90 Chevy. A 2002 explorer and a 2000 gmc. My best was my 90 being followed by the 2000. The explorer not good at all. This all being said I am not a fan of the new GM twins in the 1500 department as they are to low in the front end and to square on the wheel cubes. If buying a 1500 class truck it would be a Toyota , Ford or Dodge. It would all depend on the test drives and $$. But I do like the Tundras. Now in the big boy category I have no clue I still don't like the looks of the twins.

I believe Polk or someone else knows those numbers but you have to pay for that information. Seems like its published once a year or so. Same goes for the break down in series ( 15, 25, 35 and 45 & 55)
