JMO but I'd never give up on an awning. Takes a matter of seconds to bring it in and out. Great for hot days when you want to sit outside and out of the sun. Or those rainy days when you have things outside like chairs or BBQ that you don't want to get soaked. Plus it stores right on the side of the TT. No putting up and taking down. Wouldn't be fun putting away a canopy in the rain. With the elec awning you just hit the button and it's in. With our NW Fox Mountain awning it has pitch adjustment so you can angle it if it's raining or to get more coverage when sitting out in the sun.
Like I said JMHO but it's one of the best things about having a TT. Besides all the other amenities.
