That's what we've been doing, but our generator can't always run the rooftop A/C. We have the Yamaha EF3000iSE/B. If we add an auxiliary fuel tank in the bed of the truck, then it would be nice to eliminate the portable generator by adding an onboard LP generator. I don't know how much noise or vibration the onboard generator would create, but I will look into that info as well.

I sent an email to my dealer asking about the awning cost difference if it is removed from the build. I'll report back once I hear something.
