We're in the very beginning stages of building a home....the only two payments will be the Arctic Fox and home mortgage once we begin construction. The goal would be to have the house paid off in 15 years and the Arctic Fox paid off in 5 years.
I know it is hard to put off getting a new toy but I think you should take care of the house business first.
It would be a shame to apply for a mortgage and have your credit limited due to the recent RV purchase. At the very least, the amount you can borrow for the mortgage will be less and the interest will likely be higher. You will be paying that higher interest for a long time.
A great website/phone app for examining your credit and the various improvements that can be made is https://www.creditkarma.com/. You will have to give them info like your SS# but you will receive free credit reports, advice on improving your credit score, and free credit monitoring. All services are free and safe to use, they make money if you open a recommended credit card account but there are no obligations.
I took a look at that Northwood forum, it looks pretty dead compared to this and others.
Could be that since most people go to forums with problems and that Northwood owners just don't have all that many issues. Now add in low sales volume.
