I have 990 on f350 dually upper and lower stableloads works great loaded I am at 14,400 Lbs

A lot of really great information. Thank You everyone! I'm feeling better about driving it. And I am pretty sure we will be putting the stable loads on. Everyone seems to highly recommend them. Can't wait to head out with the family for some quality time. I'd love to someday spend 6 months to a year out on the road.

I have a 2006 3500 Dually with the 6.6 Duramax and the Allison Transmission and never looked back, this truck came with air bags and I had stable loads from last truck (in sig).

My stable loads go between the bottom over load leaf spring and the rest of the pack, stops side to side sway but more importantly to me it stops the porpoising from front to back.

My truck weighs 8900#'s empty, about 14,000 plus with the 1150 loaded and I can pull a 21' Thunder jet in addition to the Arctic Fox.

I haul my 990 with a SRW F350. It's heavy. However my truck handles it well. I don't fill my 60 gallon fresh water tank which would add 500 pounds of weight.

I have a 2008 990 on a F450 Ford Flatbed works great for us. We did install stale loads and it made a world of difference. I weighed my 990 a couple of years ago while in Oregon, It was 5000 ponds but we were full of water, propane, clothes and every thing else.

Check how the clearance lights on this rig have been sealed. I have read several posts with older arctic fox units where clearance lights leaked which lead to delamanation.

Look whole camper over well for condition of caulking and any signs of water leaks which can cause delamanation. Even if it was stored inside, bad caulking can quickly cause you problems once you take it outside.

water leaks on front clearance lights can cause damage all the way down to under overhang.

2011 or newer is my recommendation. in 2011 the GVWR was increased.

Torklift Stableloads. If you think you need airbags try Stableloads first. Great tech. I also have Torklift stairs and handle/rail for my Arctic Fox.

As said, plan on that camper being around 4500lbs ready to camp.
Any newer dually will be well suited to haul it with ease. Still going to need some rear suspension help on a 3500 though.

The truck should be fine.

I'll tell you that my DW didn't enjoy pulling a TT with the Expedition that we had at the time. She regularly drives our truck with truck camper. I think you'll like it.
