Arctic Fox 990

We found a good deal on a used 2004 Arctic Fox. So now for a truck. The dry weight of the camper is 3400. We are looking at the Chevy Silverado 3500 dually. I want to make sure it is very stable feeling. I had a TT sway on me once & that's not an experience I care to repeat. Any suggestions or comments on the truck.

Thanks!

  • Depending on the year of your dually, you should be fine. Check your rated payload and figure about 4200-4500 lbs for a fully loaded AF990. Someone who has a 2004 will hopefully chime in if they built them lighter then vs now. Our 2013 Chevy carries the heavier AF 996 just fine with minimal upgrades. See my signature for suspension mods and good choice as Northwood builds a quality unit.
