The weakest link is probably the sticker on the B-pillar.
Look at the F-350 SRW trucks. You can order them with GVWR "packages" of 10,000#, 11,400#, or get the standard 11,500# GVWR. Exact same truck, but different GVWR's (and rated cargo capacities). The only difference is with the lighter GVWR packages you are choosing to license it to carry less. Has absolutely nothing to do with the truck's capability.
