Nice to see someone that understands the Cummins works well with the existing aISIN 6 speed and does NOT need more gears. Try telling the more is better crowd that.......
I have said the same many times and I am the one that should be wishing for more gears as I tow West coast at 35k combined. But I am in reality more than happy with my Medium Duty AISIN gearing.
As the Powerstroke pulls down on a hill it gains about 9 lbft of torque for every 100 rpm the engine looses. Your 2015 has more torque rise than the Ford ….. it gains about 12 lbft of torque for every 100 rpm the engine looses. The new Cummins is an entirely different beast….. it gains about 29 lb ft of torque for every 100 rpm the engine slows. If your 2015 makes you smile, just imagine what a 2021 would do for you.
