- atreisExplorerIn 2017 there were 153 million employed people in the US. 22 million is a heck of a lot (and it probably is higher), but there are still a lot of people working, so at the right, discounted, price there can still be buyers.
- FedMillExplorerWell, I live in North Florida and my wife and I just came back from an RV Campstore in Jax Fl. I just retired and we are looking to buy one. We looked at a Keystone Ultra Lite Bullet 261RBS. We both liked the layout and may end up pulling the trigger. I dont need a Cadillac of Travel Trailers. I know this is maybe the middle of the road as far as quality from my research but im not sure.
Can anyone out their that owns a Keystone let me know if they have been satisifed with thier purchase ?
I have a 2019 F150 Screw FX4/3:55 rear end and the mighty little 2.7 ecoboost. So, ths one we looked at today fits the bill as it is approx 5400lbs dry.. My Truck will handle it as I tow a fairly heavy 21 foot boat with ease...(5k plus loaded with Gear) - hornet28ExplorerNot a TT but a 5er. Last fall we bought a newer unit and a week ago we sold the older one which I'd only had 2 yrs. Sold price was only 7% less than I paid. It all depends on price, condition and buyers desire
- philhExplorer IIAuto sales are way down. MFG dropped 78% in one month. Unemployment is at 22M, and I believe that number is low.
- HannibalExplorerJudging by how hard it is to book a reservation at campgrounds we used to have no trouble getting into, I’d say the dealerships are selling a lot of RVs. Up until the virus, we saw a lot of new RVs in campgrounds. Lots of newbies too.
- MattFromPAExplorerI window shop - a lot - and am a member of several Facebook RV groups. Seems many are still buying trailers which surprised me. There is nowhere to take them right now, at least in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast.
Dealer prices for new and used seem to be dropping to an extent. Camping World has their smallest bunkhouse listed for $9995. The local dealers I check frequently seem to have dropped prices roughly $1K for the bunkhouse floorplan I'm interested in. Used inventory listings have remained fairly static. No in-person sales here, so I expect quite a backlog.
I thought craigslist would have a glut of TTs for sale now but that is not the case yet here.
When this is over there will either be an explosion of buying due to pent-up demand, or the economic damage caused by the lockdown will really depress the RV industry for some time to come. Mark and Linda wrote:
I was down in Florida a few weeks ago. I still wonder how they sale all those trailers in the lots. On the way back home up the interstate all the trailer sales are packed with RV's and travel trailers. Who buys them?
I wonder the same thing where I live. There's several massive RV dealers, all with massive amounts of inventory all the time.- Mark_and_LindaExplorerI was down in Florida a few weeks ago. - HannibalExplorerA friend just sold his two year old motorhome to a couple from New York. I didn't think it was possible.
- 1320FastbackExplorerThe toy hauler we just bought was used and I heard the PO mention paying some bills with the money. Of course he also mentioned wanting a bigger one ??
