What a great adventure you are starting out to do! Congratulations.
We did the Cal to Ak this year.... It was great except for the nasty Calcium based dust reducer they use on the dirt roads. We went all the way up to Prudhoe Bay...It rained and snowed all the way back to Fairbanks... OMG what a mess the Truck, Camper and Trailer was in. The truck will never be the same..... I washed the whole undercarriage of the truck... I had no rust, I do now!

We used Delorme Inreach Explorers to keep track of each other during the trip. Text communications are necessary as the cell service is nil in most of Ak and Can.
