Assume diesel and gasser have same torque, compare...

Let's say you could get a particular vehicle with either a gas or a turbodiesel engine. And assume that both engines were rated about the same for torque, but the gasser would have 50% higher max HP....

Two engines operating at the same RPM with the same torque are not producing the same HP? You need a physics lesson.


That is the point, gas gets max touqre at high rpm, diesel produces max touqre at low rpm. Higher speed equals higher HP, lower rpm equals lower HP.
