Maybe we are allowed smaller tanks, since our soil is generally porous and not all rock. Pumping cost around a hundred dollars, and having new drain lines and a clean out installed (including digging out the old) cost less than $3000.
Alaska recommends pumping every 2 years and cost about $300.....just as a comparison.
